Pitching matchups for Saturday’s MLB games

We take a look at the pitching matchups for each MLB game on the slate for Saturday, May 8th.

Saturday’s slate of MLB games will get started early in the afternoon through the night, and it starts with one of the best pitching matchups you’ll see this season in the first game of the day. Between Washington Nationals starter Max Scherzer and New York Yankees Corey Kluber, the two combine for five Cy Young Awards. Scherzer has three, and Kluber has two. The two will square off in New York at 1:05 p.m. ET and can be seen on ESPN+.
