ESPN+ will host Monday’s matchup between the Cincinnati Reds and Pittsburgh Pirates with the first pitch set for 6:35 p.m. ET. The game will take place at PNC Park in Pittsburgh, and will air on Bally Sports Ohio in the Reds market and on ATT SportsNet Pittsburgh in the Pirates market.
Mitch Keller is projected to be on the bump for Pittsburgh, and he’s been struggling in recent starts. This season he has a 6.29 ERA but is averaging about one strikeout in each inning pitched, with 24 Ks over 24.1 innings. Tyler Mahle will be toeing the rubber for Cincy, he boasts a 3.23 ERA this season and the Reds are 4-2 in games he’s started.
If you aren’t around a TV to check out this primetime MLB matchup, you can stream the game via WatchESPN or the ESPN app. But keep in mind — you’ll need a subscription to ESPN+. You can subscribe to ESPN+ on the ESPN website, where you can get a monthly subscription for $5.99, or get the ESPN/Disney/Hulu bundle for $13.99 per month.
The Reds have the offensive firepower to go head to head with anybody in the league, but their pitching has been lacking throughout the season. They’re sitting in fourth place in the NL Central right now, in front of only Pittsburgh, but have won three of their last five games. They are 3-0 against the Pirates this season.
Pittsburgh has been reeling over the last couple of weeks. They’ve lost eight of their last ten games and are averaging just about three runs per game over that span. Over the last week, they’ve only scored more than two runs just one time, in a 6-5 win over the Cubs on Mother’s Day.
