Can we cash in our NL Rookie of the Year tickets now? Woah, let’s not get ahead of ourselves! Pittsburgh Pirates rookie 3B Ke’Bryan Hayes entered 2021 Opening Day as the betting favorite to win NL ROTY at +350. He wasted no time getting us pumped for that line, going yard in his first AB of the season against the Chicago Cubs on Thursday afternoon. Hayes belted a two-run homer to give the Pirates a 2-0 lead early on. Check out this bomb of a shot from Hayes.

We wrote up some betting splits via DraftKings Sportsbook and got some info on NL ROTY. Hayes entered Opening Day getting 52 percent of the handle and 26 percent of the bets to win NL ROTY this season on DKSB. If you’ve got Hayes in fantasy baseball, good on you for drafting him. If you got him in your keeper/dynasty league, you better not mess this up. Hayes could be a generational talent.
