The Oakland Athletics and Houston Astros will have to wait to complete their weekend series in Houston. Sunday’s game has been postponed after the A’s had a member of the organization test positive for Covid-19.
The A’s announced the positive test Sunday morning and have begun self-isolating in Houston. The A’s are scheduled to travel to Seattle for a series that would start on Tuesday, while the Astros are scheduled to host the Texas Rangers starting on Tuesday. There is no word yet on the status of the start of either series.
Reporter Jon Heyman pointed out that this is the first positive test for an American League player and the first for a West division.
