The Atlanta Braves had four players test positive for Covid-19, and star first baseman Freddie Freeman is among them, according to manager Brian Snitker. The other positive tests are Will Smith, Touki Toussaint, and Pete Kozma.

Freeman is dealing with a fever, while Smith and Toussaint are asymptomatic. Snitker said Freeman is “not feeling great” and “It’ll be a while til we can get him back.” Freeman tested negative at the beginning of the week, but then developed symptoms before his first scheduled workout, according to the New York Daily News.

A year ago, Freeman had a slash line of .295/.389/.549, with 38 home runs and 121 RBIs and a WAR of 4.4. He earned an All Star nod and finished eighth in All Star voting. Austin Riley and Adeiny Hechavarría are behind him on the Braves depth chart.
