Golic and Smetty preview College Football Rivalry Week, recap F1’s Vegas Grand Prix

Mike Golic Sr. and Jessica Smetana discuss college football’s rivalry week. They preview the potential Big 12 Championship Game and how the CFP could shape out.

We have made it to the most exciting time in the college football season. This is the final week of the regular season, with championship week and bowl games on the horizon. Teams that underperformed this year have the chance to end the season on a positive note heading to the future if they can beat their rival.

Mike Golic Sr. is joined by Jessica Smetana for another episode of Golic & Smetty, presented by DraftKings Network. The tandem begins by talking about Thanksgiving meal choices, with Smetana saying she is tired of turkey. They switch over to talking college football and begin with the biggest matchup of the weekend as Ohio State hits the road to take on Michigan.

This leads them to talking about which teams will make the Big 12 Championship Game next week and their best attempt at guessing the eventual CFP Final Four. Golic Sr. thinks that the Heisman Trophy will land with either Oregon QB Bo Nix or Washington QB Michael Penix Jr.

Moving to the NFL, the duo begins with the news that the Pittsburgh Steelers fired offensive coordinator Matt Canada. Smetana isn’t surprised he was let go, but more surprised it happened during the season. They discuss what the Steelers have to do the rest of the season to make the playoffs.
