Happy New Year to all! May 2024 be prosperous from every perspective. We have a six-game slate that starts at 7:30 pm ET. The 10:30 pm ET game between the Heat and Clippers will not be included. Jimmy Butler, Anfernee Simons and Deandre Ayton have already been ruled out while Luka Doncic ($11,900) is questionable. Keep track of all the pertinent updates at DK Live.

As for back-to-backs, PHO is the only team that played last night. Bradley Beal ($6,100) could sit this one. CHA is the only team that plays Tuesday.

DraftKings Sportsbook has two games with a total of at least 240 - IND/MIL (260.5) and DAL/UTA (245). That 260 number is the highest o/u number ever!! There are two double-digit favorites - PHO -11.5 over POR and DEN -15 over CHA. There are no games within 2 points. The tightest spread is TOR -2.5 over CLE. There is one home dog - UTA.

Back in November, the IND/ATL game had the highest O/U since 1995 at 252.5. Since that game, IND has played in three games that crushed that number: IND/MIL (257.5), IND/MIL (258) and IND/WAS (261). Those games ended at 247, 266 and 260, respectively.

Guard

Stud

Luka Doncic, Dallas Mavericks at Utah Jazz ($11,900) – Doncic is questionable, as he’s been dealing with a quad issue for some time. He has missed only three games this season, though. While he sat out last Thursday’s game, he came back and played 38 minutes on Saturday, producing 70 DKFP. The price is expensive and there are question marks with Doncic. There’s even a slight chance that Kyrie returns. That said, he has one of the highest floor/ceiling combos in the game. He’s a threat to mess around on any given night and he is Atlas, carrying the Mavericks offensively on his back.

Over the last 14 games, he’s gone for at least 60 DKFP in all by one. Seven of those games were over 70 DKFP and he put up two with over 90! I love Haliburton tonight, as he is cheaper and is in a game with a ridiculous total of 260, but he has exceeded 70 DKFP four times on the season and hasn’t sniffed the 90 threshold.

Other Options - Tyrese Haliburton ($10.300), Donovan Mitchell ($9,500), Damian Lillard ($8,900), Jamal Murray ($8,100), Malcolm Brogdon ($7,800), Khris Middleton ($7,100), Tim Hardaway Jr. ($6,400) if Doncic is out, Grayson Allen ($6,200) if Beal is out, Scoot Henderson ($6,100)

Value

Andrew Nembhard, Indiana Pacers at Milwaukee Bucks ($5,300) – Nembhard has missed nine games this season and was only playing around 20 minutes to start the year, backing up Haliburton. The interesting thing was that he basically pushed T. J. McConnell ($3,800) out of the rotation when everyone was healthy. Over the last four games, Nembhard has entered the starting lineup and averaged 31.8 minutes, 12.5 points, 2.8 rebounds, five assists and 0.8 steals. That translated to 25.75, 20, 19.25 and 30.75 DKFP. The Pacers have won three of those games, so I don’t see why they wouldn’t maintain the status quo. This game has the highest total on the slate, so there should be plenty of opportunities to rack up fantasy goodies.

Other Options - Keyonte George ($5,700), Immanuel Quickley ($5,000), Malik Beasley ($4,800), Cody Martin ($4,600), Alec Burks ($4,400)

Forward

Stud

Giannis Antetokounmpo, Milwaukee Bucks vs. Indiana Pacers ($11,000) – I have gotten cute in the past, leaning towards the balanced roster build. There is no getting cute on this slate. If two players went for 90 DKFP tonight, I wouldn’t be shocked. It’s a low-probability event yet...Lloyd Christmas is grinning from ear to ear. Giannis has exceeded point expectations 80% of the time this season and gets a matchup against the fantasy nirvana Indiana Pacers. The total is high for a reason, as the teams are 1 and 2 in pace. They are atop the leaderboard in terms of playing to the over as well. Giannis has faced Indiana three times this season. He’s put up 71, 57.5 and 95.5 DKFP. L. O. L.

Other Options - Lauri Markkanen ($8,000), Jerami Grant ($7,300), Khris Middleton ($7,100), Tim Hardaway Jr. ($6,400) if Doncic is out, Grayson Allen ($6,200) if Beal is out

Value

Jabari Walker, Portland Trail Blazers at Phoenix Suns ($5,000) – The playing time has slowly crept up as the season has progressed. Walker was playing in the single digits, then vacillated between the teens and the low 20s. With Deandre Ayton out the last three games, Moses Brown ($4,200) has started but it’s been Walker who has been getting the bulk of the minutes, playing 30 in each of the last two games. He’s gone for 20.75 and 41.75 DKFP.

Other Options - Bobby Portis ($5,800), Jalen Smith ($5,200), Derrick Jones Jr. ($5,200), Aaron Nesmith ($5,100), Cody Martin ($4,600), Alec Burks ($4,400)

Center

Studs

Nikola Jokic, Denver Nuggets vs. Charlotte Hornets ($11,300) – Man, so much star power on this slate. Hopefully, the knight from Indiana Jones doesn’t give any of us the, “You have chosen poorly.” Jokic hasn’t been making a mockery of the fantasy landscape like he has in the past. He has nine games below 50 DKFP. GASP! That said, he has four games over 80 DKFP and is always in play to put up the highest raw points on the slate. Charlotte has been the second-most generous team to opposing centers, boosting their FPPM by 17.92%.

Other Options - Giannis Antetokounmpo ($11,000), Alperen Sengun ($8,800), Jarrett Allen ($7,900), Jusuf Nurkic ($7,400), Myles Turner ($6,900), Jalen Duren ($6,700)

Values

Kelly Olynyk, Utah Jazz vs. Dallas Mavericks ($5,400) – The minutes have been all over the map for Olynyk. As a result, so has the production. That said, Will Hardy has not fully committed to Kessler, which opens the door for Olynyk. His ability to space the floor and play make has been very valuable. Over the last five games, he has started three and the playing time spread has been from 16 minutes to 35 minutes. He went for over 40 DKFP in two of those contests.

Other Options - Bobby Portis ($5,800), Nick Richards ($5,700), Walker Kessler ($5,600), Dereck Lively II ($5,400), Jalen Smith ($5,200)
