Saturday Night NBA DFS features a full-size slate this weekend. It’s a big one and you’re going to need a lot of screens. Let’s dig into some research and make some picks, as we gear up for the 10-game main slate that starts at 7 p.m. ET.

Ja Morant, Memphis Grizzlies at Atlanta Hawks, $9,700 — The Grizzlies are 8-19. Two of those wins came in their last two games. What changed? Morant is rested and motivated. Monster games are coming. Saturday’s matchup could be one of them. The Hawks are horrible defensively (27th) and they play at a top-10 pace. The 240.5 total is the second-highest on the 10-game slate. Morant is too cheap.

Craig Porter Jr, Cleveland Cavaliers at Chicago Bulls, $5,700 — This might not be the best NBA DFS value pick on Saturday. Another Cavalier could be the DFS NBA value pick as tip nears. During the early morning hours at the time of publish, the Cavaliers present potential. They’re not cheap because the Cavs have already played without Darius Garland, Donovan Mitchell and Evan Mobley. They’re not expensive because no one has stepped up in their absence. Someone will. And when they do, they will be in the winning lineup. Porter is the point-per-dollar favorite. He’s hit 6.8x and 6.1x value in his last two games.

Cam Reddish, Los Angeles Lakers at Oklahoma City Thunder, $5,700 — The Lakers will play their fifth game in seven days on Christmas. LeBron James ($10,500) and Anthony Davis ($10,700) might as well be contractually obligated to suit up for the showcase event with the Boston Celtics on Christmas Day. The Lakers stars could rest on Saturday night. When the dust settles on this massive 10-game slate, Reddish could be irrelevant. Better value could sprout up. For now, keep an eye on the Lakers’ injury report and follow DK Network on X (formerly Twitter) @DKNetwork for up-to-the-minute lineup news.

Victor Wembanyama, San Antonio Spurs at Dallas Mavericks, $9,200 — Wemby has arrived. The 2023 No. 1 pick has scored 48 DKFP or more in eight of his last 11 games. The Spurs have turned him loose, but they did real him in on Thursday Dec. 22. He only played 22 minutes in his return from injury. If he is limited on Saturday, then it’s an easy fade. If he’s good to go, then Wemby should shred a limited Mavs’ lineup.

Olivier-Maxence Prosper, Dallas Mavericks vs. San Antonio Spurs, $3,000 — Saturday’s salaries were released before the Mavs’ Friday night game. Prosper was the minimum yesterday and is again on Saturday. Luka Doncic ($11,700) and Kyree Irving ($8,500) were both out on Friday. They could rest again on Saturday to prepare for the Mavericks’ Christmas Day game. In their absence, Prosper prospered with 31.5 DKFP in 30 minutes of action with a 25.9% usage rate off of the bench.

Trayce Jackson-Davis, Golden State Warriors vs. Portland Trail Blazers, $5,000 — It’s a 10-game banger. This slate is filled with hyphens and novel rookies. Triple Jack or 3JD doesn’t shoot threes, but he crashes the boards (double-double on Friday Dec. 22). With Draymond Green indefinitely suspended, the Warriors have looked for front court help. The 57th pick in the 2023 draft has stepped forward. He’s scored over 30 DKFP in three in a row. His young fresh legs could see an increase in minutes on the back-to-back for a veteran heavy team.

Nikola Jokic, Denver Nuggets at Charlotte Hornets, $11,300 — It’s a 10-game slate. There will be plenty of NBA DFS value picks by the 7 p.m. ET lock. Jokic and his 60-DKFP floor will easily slide into lineups. The Hornets are an up-tempo team and have the worst Defensive Efficiency Rating in the NBA (118.9). Jokic could easily clear 70 DKFP on Saturday Dec. 23.

Day’Ron Sharpe, Brooklyn Nets vs. Detroit Pistons, $4,800 — What happens if Sharpe gets a measly 20 minutes of work? No one knows. With 18 and 19 minutes of action, he scored 33.75 and 41 DKFP earlier this week. Sharpe might not need 20 minutes to score 40 fantasy points against the Pistons. If Detroit loses in New York, that will tie the NBA record for the longest losing streak in NBA history at 26 games. Merry Christmas, Detroit!

Andre Drummond, Chicago Bulls vs. Cleveland Cavaliers, $4,800 — If value doesn’t proliferate throughout a busy Saturday in the NBA, then old man Andre is an option. Drummond has been hyper efficient this week. He scored 22.25 DKFP in 16 minutes on Dec. 20. On the second night of the back-to-back, he increased his minutes to 19 and scored 37 DKFP. The Cavs are thin and their second unit is thinner.
