We’ve got a nine-game featured slate tonight in the NBA, with both the Lakers and Suns on the second leg of a back-to-back. So that means the fate of Kevin Durant ($9,800; ankle), LeBron James ($9,700; calf) and Bradley Beal ($6,900; back) are currently anyone’s guess.

Fortunately, some other situations are a little more clear and are ripe with value. Let’s dive in.

C Isaiah Hartenstein, New York Knicks at Utah Jazz, $5,000

This is probably the last time we’ll see Hartenstein’s price tag at or below $5K for some time. With the news that Mitchell Robinson (ankle) is set to be sidelined for the next 8-10 weeks, Hartenstein will likely be seeing around 30 minutes per game going forward — even if those minutes are coming as a reserve. In Monday’s victory over the Raptors, it was Jericho Sims ($3,800) who joined the Knicks’ starting five, not Hartenstein, yet the Texas product logged just 20.2 minutes and registered only 12.25 DKFP for his troubles. Conversely, Hartenstein played a much larger role, finishing the contest with 11 points, eight rebounds, two steals and 29.0 DKFP. Hartenstein also posted 34.5 DKFP last Friday versus the Celtics in the game where Robinson sustained his injury. Look for another big performance this evening in a matchup with a Jazz squad that’s surrendered 124.0 opponent points per 100 possessions so far in December.

PG/SG Kris Dunn, Utah Jazz vs. New York Knicks, $3,800

You know which team has also struggled to defend so far in December? The Knicks. In fact, New York owns the league’s worst defensive rating since the beginning of the month, allowing opponents to rack up 129.7 points per 100 possessions. The Jazz should be able to put the ball in the basket this evening, even if they’re going to be incredibly shorthanded. Let’s recap what we know. Jordan Clarkson (thigh), who led the team with a 30.5% usage rate in Monday’s loss to the Thunder, has been ruled out. Joining him on the IR are Lauri Markkanen ($8,500; hamstring), John Collins ($6,900; illness) and Walker Kessler ($6,300; foot), as all three are questionable. That’s basically Utah’s entire starting lineup. The obvious beneficiary in this mess is rookie Keyonte George ($6,200), yet Dunn should also see a major uptick in minutes with Clarkson sidelined. The former lottery pick collected 24.0 DKFP in 24.5 minutes against Oklahoma City and, for the season as a whole, Dunn is averaging a respectable 0.93 DKFP per minute.

SG/SF Trey Murphy III, New Orleans Pelicans at Washington Wizards, $5,200

The Wizards hemorrhage fantasy points to nearly everyone that takes the court against them, yet they’ve been particular poor at guarding opposing small forwards in 2023-24. To wit, no team is giving up more DKFP per game to the position. That’s good news for Murphy III, who has looked good since returning from his lengthy injury absence. In four contests, Murphy is averaging 14.5 points and 21.9 DKFP with a pretty noticeable 22.4% usage rate. However, it’s not just matchup that is making this spot appealing for Murphy. Zion Williamson ($7,900; ankle) popped up on New Orleans’ injury report on Tuesday, and the former first-overall pick is questionable to play versus Washington. If Zion sits, anticipate Murphy’s workload skyrocketing.
