Fantasy Basketball Picks Today: Top DraftKings NBA DFS Targets, Values for December 11

Stan Son gives his top studs and value plays at each position for Monday’s fantasy basketball slate on DraftKings.

NBA: Dallas Mavericks at Portland Trail Blazers Soobum Im-USA TODAY Sports

We have a massive 13-game slate tonight. The IST Champion Los Angeles Lakers get to spend another night in Las Vegas, reveling in their victory, smoking cigars and rolling dice while watching the rest of the peasants frolick up and down the basketball court. As usual, on a big slate such as this, there are many paths to victory with a plethora of options. Which star are you going to build around tonight? That is the question. The interesting dynamic so far is that the best value is at center, but two of the best players are at center as well.

As for injuries we need to keep track of: Joel Embiid ($11,700), Anthony Edwards ($9,100), Deandre Ayton ($6,900), Malcolm Brogdon ($8,300) and John Collins ($6,900) are questionable. Mark Williams ($6,200) is doubtful while Kyrie Irving, Evan Mobley, Bam Adebayo and Mitchell Robinson have already been ruled out. Keep track of all the pertinent updates at DK Live.

As for back-to-backs, no teams played last night but CHI, CLE, DAL, DEN, LAC and SAC play tomorrow night.

DraftKings Sportsbook has three games with a total of at least 240 - IND/DET (247), WAS/PHI (244.5) and DEN/ATL (241.5). There are four double-digit favorites - PHI -12 over WAS, MIL -11.5 over CHI, OKC -12.5 over UTA and LAC -13 over POR. There are two games within 2 points - ORL -1.5 over CLE and DAL -1.5 over MEM. There are four home dogs - DET, CHA, ATL and MEM.

Luka Doncic, Dallas Mavericks at Memphis Grizzlies ($11,800) – In terms of projection and fantasy points per minute, Doncic is a hair below Jokic and Embiid, but Luka is in a tier by himself for guards. Luka is a threat to triple-double on any given night. As he displayed a few games ago, he only needs a half to do it! He’s gone for at least 70 DKFP six times this season with a high of 93.25! That is just dumb. Luka garners a usage rate in the high-30s to low-40s and will play 38 to 40 minutes if the game is competitive. Dallas is only 1.5-point favorites tonight in Memphis. Kyrie Irving is out for this one, so it will truly be the Luka show tonight. With Irving off the court this season, Luka has seen a 2.37% usage bump. Clear your throats, blow the snot out of your nose and exalt his name: HalleLuka!

Other Options - Tyrese Haliburton ($10,900), Shai Gilgeous-Alexander ($10,600), Desmond Bane ($8,700), Fred VanVleet ($8,300), Terry Rozier ($8,300), Cade Cunningham ($8,200), Coby White ($7300), Caleb Martin ($6,400), De’Anthony Melton ($6,300)

Seth Curry, Dallas Mavericks at Memphis Grizzlies ($4,100) – Curry was a non-factor for much of the season for Dallas, as he was receiving token minutes and DNPs. Over the last four games, though, he’s been a significant part of the rotation due to injuries, receiving 16, 36, 19 and 18 minutes. He did start one of those games and there’s a chance he gets his second tonight. Over that span, he put up 11.5, 20.5, 28.75 and 20.5 DKFP. He’s primarily a spot-up three-point shooter, so if the shot isn’t falling, then the fantasy goodies will be sparse. Curry is a career 43% shooter from downtown, though, and he should get plenty of open looks tonight as the Grizzlies defense will be focused on Luka.

Other Options - Dante Exum ($5,700), Tyus Jones ($5,600), Killian Hayes ($5,500), Tim Hardaway Jr. ($5,400)

Giannis Antetokounmpo, Milwaukee Bucks vs. Chicago Bulls ($11,200) – If paying up at forward, Giannis is probably the best option in a vacuum. He averages 1.66 FP/Min and has exceeded points expectations 70% of the time. He stuffs the stats sheet and posted a triple-double three games ago. He almost notched another one in the following game, falling two rebounds shy. Over the last five games, he’s gone for over 60 DKFP in four of them. On the season, he’s exceeded 70 DKFP twice. Giannis faced the Bulls four games ago and put up 64 DKFP on them. I am probably not building around Giannis tonight, but if the roster construction leads to paying up at forward, then Giannis would be my guy.

Other Options - Desmond Bane ($8,700), DeMar DeRozan ($8,200), Jalen Williams ($6,500), Bojan Bogdanovic ($6,500)

Jericho Sims, New York Knicks vs. Toronto Raptors ($3,000) – Mitchell Robinson is out tonight so Sims will likely soak up the backup center minutes. He hasn’t done much this season because Robinson had played in every contest so far. Last season, though, Robinson missed 23 games. During that span, Sims exceeded 20 DKFP nine times. Sims likely won’t play more than 20 minutes, but he’s priced at the minimum.

Other Options - Jaime Jaquez Jr. ($5,800), Dante Exum ($5,700), PJ Washington ($5,700), Patrick Williams ($5,700), Tim Hardaway Jr. ($5,400), Derrick Jones Jr. ($5,300), Corey Kispert ($4,400)

Nikola Jokic, Denver Nuggets vs. Houston Rockets ($12,000) – Jokic is the best player in the game. He truly makes a mockery of the fantasy landscape. He averages the most FP/Min, stuffs the stat sheet and is a threat to triple-double and post the highest raw score on a nightly basis. He’s gone for at least 70 DKFP eight times this season, with four of those over 80. He has been “struggling” as of late, shooting 34% and 28% from the field over the last two games, but he still put up 55 and 61.25 DKFP and those games were against two of the better defensive teams in the league (LAC and HOU). He faces an ATL team tonight that is 26th in defensive efficiency and has boosted the FPPM to centers by 11.61%. Jokic is still getting the volume and the usage rate has been 40%. I ain’t worried one bit.

Other Options - Joel Embiid ($11,700), Giannis Antetokounmpo ($11,200), Myles Turner ($7,300), Clint Capela ($6,500)

Nick Richards, Charlotte Hornets vs. Miami Heat ($4,600) – Hartenstein and Richards are priced at the same but Hartenstein is projected for much more ownership. I may play both together, but if choosing just one, I’ll take Richards, especially since the production could be similar. Last season, there was a span late in the season when Richards made eight starts in a row. In those games, he went for over 20 DKFP six times with two games over 40.

Other Options - PJ Washington ($5,700), Dereck Lively II ($5,600), Orlando Robinson ($5,600), Isaiah Hartenstein ($4,600), Daniel Theis ($4,100), Jericho Sims ($3,000)
