We have a six-game slate for tonight. Kristaps Porzingis is the only notable player listed out as of now. UPDATE: Luka Doncic has also been ruled out. This will be his first missed game of the season. Kyrie Irving ($9,100) definitely benefits but it’s actually Tim Hardaway Jr. ($5,500) who has seen the biggest usage bump of 7% with Doncic off the court this season. Jaden Hardy ($3,300) could see some run as well, as Dante Exum is also out.

There are two slate-changing injury designations with Joel Embiid ($11,600) and Devin Booker ($10,000) both questionable. If Embiid is out, then Marcus Morris Sr. ($3,800) will likely get the start, but he played only 17 minutes in his prior two starts. Paul Reed ($4,700) would be the best option, but his minutes are probably capped at 27. Tyrese Maxey ($9,400) sees the biggest usage bump, but his job becomes more difficult with the added attention and stout defense of the Celtics. If Booker is out, Eric Gordon ($5,900) and Grayson Allen ($5,100) would handle backcourt duties with Josh Okogie ($4,200) or Keita Bates-Diop ($4,400) playing at small forward. Gordon and Allen would be viable options with Kevin Durant ($9,900) increasing in value with the added usage rate. Keep track of all the pertinent updates at DK Live.

In terms of back-to-backs, NYK and SAS played last night. Victor Wembanyama ($9,000) could be rested tonight. DAL, DEN, MEM, NOP, ORL and PHO play on Saturday.

The biggest question for tonight’s slate is, “Where will the value come from?” because there are many enticing high-priced options.

DraftKings Sportsbook has three games with a total of at least 235 - WAS/ORL (237.5), SAS/NOP (237.5) and BOS/IND (237.5). There is one game with totals below 220 - NYK/TOR (217). There are two double-digit favorites - ORL -11 over WAS and NOP -12.5 over SAS. There are two games within 2.0 points - TOR -2 over NYK and DEN -2 over PHO. There is one home dog - PHO.

Cole Anthony, Orlando Magic vs. Washington Wizards ($7,000) – There’s a lot not to like about Anthony. This is the highest DK price on the season and he probably won’t play over 30 minutes, since he is the microwave off the bench. That said, his recent usage and form cannot be denied, as well as tonight’s matchup. Anthony has garnered a usage rate of over 30% in each of the last three games while playing 26, 32 and 29 minutes. He put up 45, 54.75 and 34.25 DKFP. Normally just a scorer, he’s been grabbing rebounds, dishing out dimes and racking up steals. The Wizards have been fantasy nirvana for opposing teams all season, as they play at the 2nd-fastest pace and are 29th in defensive efficiency. These teams just played on Wednesday, with the final score being 139-120 and Anthony going for 45 DKFP.

Other Options - Brandon Ingram ($8,300)

Derrick Rose, Memphis Grizzlies at Dallas Mavericks ($4,900) – Rose made his first start of the season on Wednesday and played well, contributing 14 points, 4 rebounds and 9 assists in 27 minutes. That translates to 32 DKFP. The usage rate was 20.2% and I don’t see why he wouldn’t get the starting nod again. Dallas has boosted the FPPM to point guards by 12.05%, so the matchup is a good one.

Other Options - Tim Hardaway Jr. ($5,500)

Kevin Durant, Phoenix Suns vs, Denver Nuggets ($9,900) – Durant is the metronome of fantasy hoops because he rhythmically provides fantasy goodies in a consistent manner. If you’re facing Durant in fantasy, then he can be viewed as utilizing the Chinese water torture technique because the fantasy goodies drip....drip....drip....drip onto the stat sheet. He’s scored at least 40 DKFP in every game this season with eight of those over 50. He has also accessed a ceiling with a 65.25 and 72-DKFP game on the resume. I don’t think Booker plays tonight after rolling his ankle on Wednesday, so Durant should once again be the bonafide alpha. With Booker off the court this season, Durant has seen a 4% usage bump.

Other Options - Zion Williamson ($8,900), Paolo Banchero ($8,400), Franz Wagner ($7,800), Al Horford ($6,200)

Grayson Allen, Phoenix Suns vs. Denver Nuggets ($5,100) – Allen missed the last two games due to an illness, but he’s good to go for Friday. He’s been solid for Phoenix this season, averaging 32.5 minutes, 11.9 points, 2.4 treys, 4.5 rebounds and 2.9 assists. He’s gone for at least 20 DKFP in nine of 16 games with a high of 51.5! I think it’s highly unlikely that Booker plays tonight, which could provide some extra opportunities for Allen.

Nikola Jokic, Denver Nuggets at Phoenix Suns ($12,400) – It may be difficult to fit Jokic in, as he’s the most expensive player on the slate and the value seems to be of now. Despite the elevated price tag that Jokic has seen this season, he’s exceeded points expectations 80% of the time. He’s a threat to triple-double on any given slate and can put up the most raw points, which is important on small slates such as this one. Jokic has gone for at least 70 DKFP six times this season with three of those over 80! He truly does make a mockery of the fantasy landscape.

Other Options - Joel Embiid ($11,600) if he plays, Jonas Valanciunas ($6,800)

Dereck Lively II, Dallas Mavericks vs. Memphis Grizzlies ($4,900) – Lively is a low-usage player who is out there to grab rebounds, block shots and flush oops. He likely won’t play 30 minutes, instead landing in the mid-to-high 20s. Lively is averaging 0.92 DKFP per minute on the season and has put up double-digit DKFP in every game this season. With Doncic out, there’s a possibility that he receives more looks on the offensive end.

Other Options - Goga Bitadze ($5,600)
