The No. 2 Washington Huskies are headed to the 2023 College Football National Championship, where they will face the No. 1 Michigan Wolverines on Monday, January 8. Here are some big names to watch on both sides of the ball who could be drafted out of Washington in just a few months.

2024 NFL Draft Prospects: Washington

Michael Penix Jr, QB

Penix was a Heisman finalist in 2023, and has passed for over 4,600 yards this season before heading into the championship game. His long ball is a thing of beauty, and his TD-to-INT ratio this year was 35-to-9. Penix might see his draft stock rise if he can perform in the title game the same way he did in the Sugar Bowl.

Rome Odunze, WR

Odunze is the guy on the other end of those Penix passes. He could be a potential first-rounder. He has the height and size of an NFL receiver at 6’3” and 215 lbs, and consistently beats out CBs and safeties downfield. Odunze has over 1,500 receiving yards and 13 receiving touchdowns this season alone. LSU’s Malik Nabers is the only WR who had more in 2023.

Bralen Trice, EDGE

Trice recorded seven sacks this season, including two in the Sugar Bowl against Quinn Ewers. Trice excels both as a pass-rusher and as a run defender, and could cause some problems for Michigan’s JJ McCarthy in this matchup.

Ja’Lynn Polk, WR

Polk is also a frequent recipient of Penix’s long passes, and has over 1,100 yards and nine touchdowns this season. Polk had a huge game in the Sugar Bowl, which will propel his name onto the national stage.
