The No. 1 Michigan Wolverines are headed to the 2023 College Football National Championship, where they will face the No. 2 Washington Huskies on Monday, January 8. Here are some big names to watch on both sides of the ball who could be drafted out of Michigan in a few months.

2024 NFL Draft Prospects: Michigan

Kris Jenkins, EDGE

Jenkins was one of many stars on Michigan’s fearsome defensive line this year. Jenkins had 2.5 sacks, 35 tackles, and an interception in 2023. One of his sacks came against Alabama’s Jalen Milroe in the Rose Bowl. He could give Penix some trouble in the title game.

JJ McCarthy, QB

McCarthy is projected to go as high as the first round in some mock drafts, though he will likely fall to Day 2. He still has the option to return to Michigan in 2024, but the dual-threat QB just put together an undefeated season with over 2,800 passing yards, 22 passing touchdowns, four interceptions, and three rushing touchdowns. He may strike while the professional iron is hot.

Blake Corum, RB

Corum was in Heisman talks last season after rushing for over 100 yards for eight straight weeks, but a knee injury ended his season early. Corum returned for another year and has continued to excel in Ann Arbor. He has over 1,000 rushing yards under his belt and has found the end zone 24 times this season. Corum is expected to be a Day 2 pick.

Junior Colson, LB

Colson led the formidable Wolverines defense in tackles this year, finishing the season with 89 total (40 solo, 49 assist). Look for him to show up big time against Washington’s rushing attacks.
