The New Orleans Saints finished the season 9-8 and just missed the playoffs after beating the Falcons on Sunday. It was an uneven season, with not a whole lot to feel good about heading into the 2024 season. There is talent on the team to be sure, but a middling quarterback in Derek Carr doesn’t inject much hope for a strong playoff run next season.

Saints draft order: 15th pick

The Saints beat the Falcons handily to get a winning record and give themselves a shot at the playoffs, but they didn’t get the help they needed and will pick 15th overall.

Saints mock draft: Potential first-round pick

The Saints need help at the EDGE position, as they ranked fourth-worst in sacks. It’s imperative to get to the quarterback without needing to blitz constantly, and the Saints are probably in a decent spot to grab an EDGE defender. Alabama’s Dallas Turner, UCLA’s Laiatu Latu, and Penn State’s Demeioun Robinson all look like good prospects if they are around for New Orleans at 15.
