The Cleveland Browns are headed back to the playoffs for the first time since the 2020 season. Cleveland secured a wild card berth this year and are the No. 5 seed in the AFC. They will face the Houston Texans next weekend in the Wild Card round.
The Browns clinched a playoff berth in Week 17 after a stunning run through the regular season. They went through four different starting quarterbacks this season and somehow found life with Joe Flacco. The 38-year old quarterback joined the Browns in mid-November after seemingly being done with his career. The Browns dominant defense is the reason they’re in the playoffs, but Flacco has played shockingly well, exceeding 300 yards passing in four straight starts with the Browns winning all four of those games. They locked up the No. 5 seed in Week 17 and thus were able to rest some key starters in Week 18.

Cleveland Browns vs. Houston Texans
Saturday, 4:30 ET
The Browns will travel to face the Houston Texans, who won the AFC South. Cleveland has opened as a two-point favorite at DraftKings Sportsbook.
This marks a rematch of their Week 16 matchup in Houston, which the Browns won 36-22. Notably, the Texans were without their star rookie quarterback C.J. Stroud. He had suffered a concussion in Week 14 and this was the second of two straight games he missed before returning for the final two games. Flacco threw for 368 yards and three touchdowns, but did also throw three interceptions. Davis Mills and Case Keenum split time at quarterback, combining for 178 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions.
