The Minnesota Vikings wrapped up their 2023 season with a 30-20 loss to the Detroit Lions. The Vikings still had an outside shot at the playoffs in Week 18, but land in a favorable position with the 11th overall pick of the 2024 draft after finishing with a 7-10 record.

Vikings draft order: 11th pick

The Week 18 loss knocked Minnesota out of the playoffs, but they fared better in the 2024 draft order than other teams who were still eligible for postseason play.

Kirk Cousins’ injury this season made it clear to the Vikings that they need to start looking toward the future at the quarterback position. While Josh Dobbs kept them in the running for a while, Minnesota may be in the elite QB market in the next few years. If they go for a QB, we can expect them to land with Oregon’s Bo Nix or Washington’s Michael Penix Jr.

The Vikings also need an edge rusher, and could pick up UCLA’s Laiatu Latu or Florida State’s Jared Verse to beef up their defensive line.
