The Steelers have a shot at the playoffs this week as they take on the Baltimore Ravens to wrap up the 2023 regular season. They are part of a competitive race for the No. 7 seed in the AFC. If you are a Steelers fan, you’ll have a few games you’ll be paying attention to as they look to improve their chances of a playoff berth.

Steelers vs. Ravens

The Steelers need to defeat the Ravens this week to have a chance to make the playoffs, but there are a few other things that need to happen for the pieces to fall into place for Pittsburgh. Since the Ravens will likely be resting starters this weekend after clinching the No. 1 seed in the AFC, the Steelers have a better shot than they might have otherwise. Pittsburgh enters as a 4-point favorite at DraftKings Sportsbook.

Result: The Steelers beat the Ravens 17-10. They still need the Dolphins to beat the Bills or the Titans to beat the Jaguars to get into the playoffs.

Jaguars vs. Titans

The Steelers can reach the playoffs if (1) they defeat the Ravens and (2) the Titans win or tie against the Jaguars. Steelers fans should be cheering on the Titans this week. The Jaguars enter as 5-point favorites.

Result: The Titans upset the Jaguars 28-20, giving the Steelers a playoff spot. They will either play the Dolphins, Bills or Chiefs on the road.

Bills vs. Dolphins

If the Jaguars win, the Steelers can still get into the playoffs with (1) a win over the Ravens and (2) a Dolphins win over the Bills. The Bills are 3.5-point favorites.

Colts vs. Texans

If both the Bills and Jaguars win, there is still one small chance that the Steelers make the playoffs with a Colts-Texans tie in Week 18. However, if the Steelers lose, they will need this game to not end in a tie (as well as a win from Denver and from Tennessee) to reach that seventh seed.
