Ole Miss running back Quinshon Judkins has entered the transfer portal, per Mett Zenitz of 247 Sports. The Pike Road, AL, native just wrapped up a sophomore campaign where he helped lead the Rebels to their first 11-win season in program history.
Judkins arrived to Oxford in 2022 and immediately established himself as one of the most dynamic running backs not just in the SEC, but the entire country. As a freshman, he led the league in rushing with 1,567 yards and 16 touchdowns to earn SEC Freshman of the Year honors. He followed that up with another strong campaign this past season in 2023, collecting 1,158 yards and 15 touchdowns to earn First Team All-SEC honors for a second time. As mentioned by Zenitz, he is the first SEC player since Herschel Walker with 15+ touchdowns in both of his first two seasons in the league.
Departing Ole Miss, Judkins will be the most sought after running back in transfer portal and could land at a number of power programs across the country. One can look no further than the two power programs in his home state of Alabama as potential landing spots. Pike Road is just a one-hour drive from Auburn and Judkins was recruited by Tigers running backs coach Cadillac Williams. He was also recruited to Notre Dame by Tommy Rees, who is now Alabama’s offensive coordinator.
