Swift, who’s dealing with an illness, practiced fully on Thursday. He should be back to being the Eagles’ starting running back in the pivotal playoff tilt.

D’Andre Swift injury updates

Friday update: Swift practiced in full once again. He will most-likely be removed from the injury report on Saturday.

Thursday update: Swift missed the Eagles’ season finale loss to the New York Giants in Week 18 with an illness, but now that he’s fully practicing, it’s a foregone conclusion that the Eagles running back will be back in the lineup.

He should retake his starting role and could be an incredibly important piece of Philadelphia’s offense with Jalen Hurts dealing with a finger injury that could severely impact the team’s passing game.

Swift is expected to share running back duties with Kenneth Gainwell, who has earned more playing time as the season closed out.

Don’t expect either to get many touchdown opportunities, though. Hurts, while injured, is still the most dangerous ball carrier with the ball in hands — especially at the one-yard line.
