The Houston Texans will host the Cleveland Browns in the AFC Wild Card round on Saturday, January 13. The Texans are looking for revenge after losing to the Browns 36-22 in Week 16. Houston didn’t have quarterback C.J. Stroud for that game, but they may not have wide receiver Noah Brown for the rematch. Brown has been dealing with a back injury since Week 17 and missed the team’s season finale against the Indianapolis Colts.

Houston’s receiving corps is led by Nico Collins and Tank Dell, but Brown has built a solid rapport with Stroud this season. He has played in 10 games this year and has brought in 33 of his 55 targets for 567 yards and two touchdowns. Case Keenum and Davis Mills split time under center in Week 16, and Brown finished with 38 yards on three receptions.

Noah Brown injury updates

Thursday update: Brown has been listed as questionable for Saturday’s game. He was listed as limited on Thursday.

Thursday update: Brown has returned to practice. We will get his official status later, but the assumption is that he will be listed as questionable at best for the weekend.

Wednesday update: Brown is not practicing on Wednesday. This gives him just one more day to hit the practice field ahead of injury designations on Thursday. For now, it seems unlikely he can suit up for the first-round playoff game.

Tuesday update: Brown didn’t practice on Tuesday. Since the game is on Saturday, Brown will only have two more practices to try and get back on the field.
