The 2023 NBA All-Star Game is officially ready to get going, with the first live All-Star draft in the books. LeBron James and Giannis Antetokounmpo will face off, with the Greek Freak hoping to finally get a win in this competition as a captain.

James has won this contest every time since the format change, and is a 3-point favorite at DraftKings Sportsbook. The total is set at 324. Team LeBron is -150 on the moneyline and Team Giannis is +130.

James opened as the favorite on DraftKings Sportsbook to win the All-Star Game MVP award at +550. Damian Lillard was close behind at +650 and Joel Embiid rounds out the top three at +700.

We’ll have the latest updates, videos and odds analysis for the All-Star Game here.

2023 NBA All-Star Game live updates

It’s all over! Team Giannis gets the win 184-175. The over on the total hit despite the Elam Ending, which is a bit of a surprise. LeBron James loses his first All-Star Game as a captain, and Antetokounmpo gets his first win as a captain. He mostly watched from the bench but that’s got to feel good for the Greek Freak. Team Giannis +3 hits, and the over on 324 hits.

Tatum has the record for points in an All-Star Game with 55. Mitchell was valiant in his own MVP effort with 40 points, and Lillard has 23 off the bench to pace Team Giannis. Jaylen Brown leads Team LeBron with 35 points. Embiid and Irving have 32 each for Team LeBron.

Tatum is now at 52 points and has tied the record for most points in an All-Star Game. We’ll see how long coach Joe Mazzulla lets him play.

Tatum is up to 49 points and is now three points away from another All-Star Game record. Team Giannis should have this one in the bag.

It was the Tatum show in the third quarter. He sets an All-Star record with 27 points in the frame, and now has 44 in the contest. He’s the clear MVP at the moment, and Team Giannis has opened up a big lead on Team LeBron. The target score is 182.

Lillard from half court! The Blazers guard hits one from deep and Team Giannis is running away with things here. Lillard, who was initially the second favorite for MVP, has 18 points.

Team Giannis is starting to pull away a bit and given the lack of defense, it’s going to be hard for Team LeBron to come back in this one. Tatum and Mitchell are blasting off and have opened up a 14-point lead. The Celtics forward has 34 and the Cavs guard has 27.

We’ve reached halftime of the All-Star Game and it been largely void of defense, as expected. There have been some nice highlight moments but nothing too crazy. Antetokounmpo is done for the night after the game’s opening bucket but his team leads 99-92. If you took Team Giannis as the ATS pick, this is a great spot to be. The total might go over even with the Elam Ending and target score but it’s going to be close. The current line for the game is Team Giannis -4.5. Team Giannis is -190 on the moneyline while Team LeBron is +160. The live total has been set 334.5.

Tatum has 17 points for Team Giannis, while Donovan Mitchell is next with 16. Irving leads Team LeBron with 18 points, and Joel Embiid is next with 15.

Bam Adebayo and Nikola Jokic had a nice little interaction in the second quarter. Adebayo threw the ball off Jokic so he could inbound it to himself and the Nuggets big man decided he was going to play defense. He was able to get a steal but then couldn’t finish the layup at the other end after a series of passes. Team Giannis is up 82-80 with about two minutes left in the second quarter.

Ja Morant is auditioning for the Dunk Contest with some nice slams here in the All-Star Game. The Grizzlies guard has amazing hops and would be a must-see dunker. Have him go up against Mac McClung.

Jaylen Brown has 13 points off the bench for Team LeBron and is starting to make his case in the MVP picture. The mask gives him a lot of camera time as well.

We’ve reached the end of the first quarter and the teams are tied at 46-46. If you bet Team Giannis against the spread, you’re feeling good right now. The total looks to be going over but remember about the Elam Ending and target score. That’ll naturally cap the fourth quarter points for both sides.

Tatum and Kyrie Irving are the leading scorers in this game right now. The Celtics forward has 13 points and the Mavericks guard has 11 as Team Giannis has a slight 39-38 edge on Team LeBron with just over two minutes left in the opening frame.

There have been some good moments on defense as the game has moved along. Jayson Tatum attempted to get a steal and James has thrown himself in front of driving players a few times, but that’s about as much effort that’s been given defensively tonight.

James has one of the better highlights in the first quarter with a nice toss off the backboard to himself for a dunk. The King has shied away from participating in the Dunk Contest but at least we get to see him put one down here. As expected, this has quickly become a high-scoring scrimmage.

Well, that might be it for Antetokounmpo. He makes the opening dunk of the game and then immediately checks out, unlikely to play again due to the wrist injury he suffered Thursday.

We’re just about set for tipoff here and everything on the injury front has been settled. Antetokounmpo was wearing a wrap on his wrist, and he’ll likely be limited for the event. Jaylen Brown and DeMar DeRozan are available but could also be limited. Everyone else is good. James is still dealing with ankle issues but he’s played through them for most of the season.
