Tracking Patrick Mahomes’ performance in Super Bowl 57 vs. Eagles

Patrick Mahomes looks to win the second Super Bowl of his career. We’ll track his performance throughout Super Bowl 57.

End of Game Update: Mahomes hit the over on passing touchdowns, but did not reach the total on passing yards (182), pass attempts (27), pass completions (21), or longest completion (22). He also did not throw an interception.

Mid-Q4 Update: Mahomes has hit the over on passing touchdowns with his third.

End of Q3 Update: Mahomes is still well under the total for passing yards, adding up 126 total at the end of the third quarter. He has completed 13 passes and attempted 18, also well under the total on both of those metrics. He has not thrown an interception and still sits at one TD.

Halftime update: Mahomes should be able to play through the ankle injury in the second half.

End of Q2 Update: Mahomes finished the first half 8-for-13 for 89 yards and one passing touchdown. He added 11 total rushing yards in the half and has not turned the ball over yet.

Injury Update: Mahomes limped off the field after a late-second half tackle in visible pain. It appears that his right ankle is injured.

End of Q1 Update: Mahomes finished the first quarter with 73 passing yards, one passing TD, and eight rushing yards. He was 5-for-7 on pass attempts and his longest completion was a 22-yard toss to Travis Kelce.

Update: Mahomes found Travis Kelce twice on the Chiefs’ first drive, passing for 38 yards and a touchdown. He completed two of two passing attempts on the drive.

The Kansas City Chiefs return to the Super Bowl after a one-year hiatus from the game, facing the Philadelphia Eagles Sunday in Super Bowl 57. Patrick Mahomes and the top offense in the NFL will hope to improve on their 2021 defeat to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Mahomes didn’t miss a beat in his production this season — despite losing his best wide receiver Tyreek Hill to the Miami Dolphins — winning his second MVP honor with 435 completions for 5,250 yards and 41 touchdowns, while rushing 61 times for 358 yards and four touchdowns.
