Emerging featherweight Robeisy Ramirez is set to defend his WBO title this weekend against Rafael Espinoza. Ramirez-Espinoza takes place on Saturday, December 9 from the Charles F. Dodge City Center in Florida.

This WBO featherweight title bout will be Top Rank Boxing’s main event. Live coverage of the main card begins at 10 p.m. ET on ESPN+. Ramirez-Espinoza ringwalks are projected for 11:30 p.m. ET., depending on the length of the undercard.

Fighter history

Ramirez (13-1, 8 KOs) fights southpaw out of Cuba and won the WBO title earlier this year against Issac Dogboe. In July, he followed that up with a convincing 5th-round TKO of Satoshi Shimizu. Known for his lighting quick combinations and left hook, Ramirez is eyeing a second straight title defense.

Espinoza (21-0, 18 KOs), fights orthodox out of Mexico and has won his last five bouts by knockout. In his last fight, he quickly defeated Ally Mwergani by 2nd-round KO. Espinoza faces the biggest bout in his career and will rely on his knockout prowess for a potential upset.
