Warriors vs. Thunder preview: Odds, ATS pick, over/under pick, injury report for Friday, December 8

We go over some of the best betting options for Friday’s matchup between the Warriors and Thunder.

We’ve got a matchup of two teams sitting at different ends of the Western Conference standings when the Golden State Warriors (10-11) meet the Oklahoma City Thunder (13-7) Friday evening. These teams will be meeting for the fourth time this season, with the Thunder winning two of the previous three matchups. Golden State has won two of its last three and three of its last five, while Oklahoma City enters this game after a loss to the Rockets snapped a two-game winning streak.

Gary Payton II remains sidelined for the Warriors. The Thunder are fully healthy.

The Thunder are 3-point favorites at DraftKings Sportsbook, with the total coming in at 236.5. Oklahoma City is -148 on the moneyline while Golden State checks in at +124.

Warriors vs. Thunder, 8 p.m. ET

Pick ATS: Thunder -3

Oklahoma City is one of the best teams against the number, sporting a 14-5-1 mark on the season. The Thunder are 7-3 ATS at home and 5-1 ATS as the home favorite. The Warriors, on the other hand, are 9-12 ATS overall. However, Golden State is 6-3 ATS as an underdog and 5-2 ATS as a road underdog so there’s good potential for this to be close. Getting Chris Paul and Andrew Wiggins back certainly helps Golden State, but I’ll take the Thunder to win and cover at home and get three out of four in the season series.

Over/Under: Over 236.5

Even if we ignore the 141-139 shootout between these teams in the opening game of the In-Season Tournament, all three matchups have gone over this line. Draymond Green did miss the last two encounters, so his return could change some things defensively for the Warriors. Oklahoma City is 11-9 to the over this season, while Golden State is 11-10 to the over. Three head-to-head meetings where all three totals went over 236.5 is enough to sway me towards the over for tonight’s contest.
