The Pittsburgh Steelers take on the New England Patriots on Thursday Night Football in Week 14. The Steelers are coming off a tough loss against the Arizona Cardinals, and Pittsburgh starting quarterback Kenny Pickett is expected to miss several weeks after undergoing surgery for an ankle injury. Should you start George Pickens in fantasy this week?

Fantasy Football analysis: Steelers WR George Pickens

Pickens leads his team in receiving yards and receptions for the season and averages 62.3 yards per game. He will be catching passes from Steelers’ backup Mitch Trubisky this week with Pickett out.

Start or sit in Week 14 PPR leagues?

Start.

Pickens leads the Steelers in receiving yards by quite a large margin, and should be fine to start this week, even with Trubisky under center. The Patriots’ defense won’t be a huge threat to his usual routines, and we can expect him to be one of the top targets in this matchup. Go ahead and start Pickens. If you’re in a smaller league, though, and you have options that inspire more confidence on your roster this week, he’s not a must-start.

Start or sit in Week 14 standard leagues?

Start.

Again, in smaller leagues, Pickens may not be a huge value-add this week, but you can expect some fairly consistent numbers from him in a larger league.

Players you would start ahead of George Pickens

Green Bay’s Christian Watson, if he can play, might start for me ahead of Pickens this week, as would Dallas’ Brandin Cooks.
