The Pittsburgh Steelers take on the New England Patriots this week after losing to the Arizona Cardinals in Week 13. Steelers quarterback Kenny Pickett suffered an ankle injury on Sunday and underwent surgery following the game. He is expected to be out for 2-4 weeks, and Mitch Trubisky will take over under center.

Fantasy Football analysis: Steelers QB Mitch Trubisky

Trubisky came in partway through the game on Sunday to take over for the injured Pickett. He went 11-for-17 for 117 yards and a touchdown.

Start or sit in Week 14 leagues?

Sit.

With just two teams on bye this week, there shouldn’t be a situation where any fantasy manager feels that they need to start Trubisky. He will be serviceable for Pittsburgh as Pickett recovers, but don’t count on him coming in and suddenly dominating. Pickett will likely be back before the end of the season, so it’s not time to turn to backups just yet.

Player(s) you would start ahead of Mitch Trubisky

You can start just about any starting quarterback in the league outside of Trubisky. Take a look at Jake Browning or Will Levis as alternates if you’re really searching this week.
