The Philadelphia Eagles finished up Week 16 getting just about everything they could have wanted to improve their playoff position. They held off the Giants and then saw the Cowboys lose to the Dolphins and the 49ers lose to the Ravens. The Eagles improved to 11-4 with their win and now sit in the No. 2 overall position. They moved a game up on the Cowboys in the NFC East and sit a game back of the 49ers with the tiebreaker edge over the Lions.

Saturday update: The Cowboys beat the Lions 20-19 after Detroit had a two-point conversion overturned on a controversial penalty. The Cowboys win means the Eagles cannot clinch the NFC East in Week 17.
