Houston Texans tight end Dalton Schultz has been a production machine in his first year with the Texans, but he’ll miss Sunday’s game with a hamstring injury. Here’s a look at Brevin Jordan will be able to pick up the slack this week.
Fantasy Football analysis: Texans TE Brevin Jordan
Jordan has six catches for 60 yards and a touchdown this season in four games, and had one catch for nine yards last week against the Jaguars.
Start or sit in Week 13 PPR leagues?
While Schultz has 455 yards and five touchdowns this season, I don’t think Jordan be able to immediately pick up that slack. Nico Collins and Tank Dell have 97 catches between them this season, and I think they’ll be the two main beneficiaries of Schultz’s injury. I’m sure Stroud will look Jordan’s way, but I don’t think it’ll be enough to make him a worthwhile start in fantasy.
Start or sit in Week 13 standard leagues?
Same kind of logic. Jordan’s only had two catches of 10+ yards this season, so I find it hard to believe that he’ll rack up yardage in bunches this week. He’s a very touchdown-dependent start, so I’d look elsewhere.
Player(s) you would start ahead of Jordan
FantasyPros has Jordan ranked as WR32 this week, where he’s between Tommy Tremble and Connor Heyward. Some other tight ends I’d consider from this tier are Jack Stoll and Adam Trautman.
