The Arizona Cardinals defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 13, and the Steelers lost quarterback Kenny Pickett to an ankle injury partway through the game. With the loss, the Steelers move to 7-5 with the loss. They sit in third place in the AFC North, but despite the loss, Pittsburgh remains in playoff contention in the AFC.

The Texans and Colts each have 7-5 records after this week, as well, and the Steelers sit ahead of both of them in the AFC Wild Card standings. However, if Pickett remains out for several games, the Steelers will need to rely on backup Mitch Trubisky to keep them in postseason contention. They still have the Seahawks and the Ravens on their schedule moving forward.

The Browns are currently facing the Rams and sit at 7-4. With a loss, they could be tied with the Steelers in the loss column. The Steelers and Browns are 1-1 head-to-head this season.
