This is going to be tough to write. There are a ton of solid WR value plays on DraftKings this weekend. Unfortunately, last week the Packers were at the center of the article. Jayden Reed ended up sitting. Dontayvion Wicks caught a TD and had 29 yards but also exited due to a chest injury. Romeo Doubs ended up having the best day but wasn’t highly touted. Jets WR Garrett Wilson came through with nine catches for 76 yards in their win over the Commanders. Colts WR Alec Pierce didn’t come through despite Michael Pittman Jr. sitting in Week 16. Okay, let’s go over some value options for Week 17 on DraftKings’ Sunday main slate.
NFL DFS Picks, Week 17: WR value plays
Demarcus Robinson, LAR vs. NYG, $4,600
The Rams enter a big game vs. the Giants coming off another win after scoring 30 points. Los Angeles’ offense is clicking and a big reason why is late-season addition Robinson, who is seeing a ton of playing time. The Rams are almost exclusively running in 3-wide sets with Robinson being the WR3. He’s played at least 86% of the snaps in three straight weeks, with 90+ percent of the snaps the past two weeks. Over the past four weeks, Robinson is among the top fantasy WRs overall. He has 15 catches on 24 targets for 227 yards and four TDs. Robinson has become a favorite target of QB Matthew Stafford in the red zone, scoring in four straight games. Robinson could be chalky but he’s good chalk.
Demario Douglas, NE vs. BUF, $4,300
If the New England Patriots remain without JuJu Smith-Schuster, that would go a long way in ensuring Douglas remains a top WR in the offense. Even if JuJu is active, Douglas has quietly been a PPR stud for most of the season. He’s missed a few games late in the season but with mostly bad QB play, Douglas has reached double-digit fantasy points in five of his past seven games. Douglas has 51 targets in that same seven-game stretch. He makes for one of the safer floor plays at WR if you’re looking for a cash-game plug.
DJ Chark, CAR vs. JAX, $3,600
The Panthers posted a season-high 30 points on the Packers’ putrid secondary in Week 16. Carolina gets another solid matchup vs. Jacksonville, which has been reeling after beginning the season 8-3. The Jags have lost four in a row and have allowed 30+ points in three of those contests. Still, Jacksonville is a heavy favorite, so we can expect the Panthers to be trailing, similar to Week 16. DJ Chark played 48 snaps last week and caught six of eight targets for 96 yards and two TDs. Rookie WR Jonathan Mingo ($3,500) also played a ton of snaps but didn’t get targeted as frequently. Chark makes for a decent GPP play again this week.
