Update: Brown has returned to the game.
Update: Brown is officially questionable to return to the game with a back injury.
Boston Celtics forward Jaylen Brown appeared to suffer a back injury when he collided with LeBron James trying to get away from the Lakers star on an off-ball move. Brown appeared to be fine initially but has gone back to the locker room to get checked out.

Brown got off to a hot start in this game as part of a 32-point quarter for Boston, but he and the Celtics cooled off in the second as the Lakers made a comeback. The forward has nine points, one assist and one rebound so far in the contest. We’ll see if he’s able to return to action.
If Brown is unable to return, look for Jayson Tatum and Derrick White to take on bigger scoring roles. Jrue Holiday could also see more shots, but Tatum and White are more likely to get a bump in usage. Brown has been on fire of late, so him going out would be a big miss for Boston, even though the Celtics have been operating at an elite level so far this season.
