The Buffalo Bills take on the Los Angeles Chargers on Saturday, December 23. We take a look at some of our favorite DFS plays for the game ahead of kickoff at 8:00 p.m. ET.

Injuries to look out for

Keenan Allen, WR, Chargers - Out
Justin Herbert, QB, Chargers - Out
Joey Bosa, DE, Chargers - Out

NFL DFS Showdown strategy: Bills vs. Chargers

Captain’s Picks

Josh Allen, QB, Bills ($8100)

Allen and the Bills are on a roll, and while the Bills QB wasn’t the biggest earner last week, he should have better numbers this week against a weaker Chargers secondary. The Chargers allow the fourth-most fantasy points per game to opposing quarterbacks in the league. Allen is a safe bet at captain.

Austin Ekeler, RB, Chargers ($7200)

With Justin Herbert out and Easton Stick playing backup, the Chargers are leaning heavily on the run. Ekeler struggled with the rest of the offense last week on Thursday Night Football, but has generally been a solid choice when healthy thanks to his use in the passing game. The week prior to last, he finished with 51 rushing yards, 49 receiving yards, and a touchdown.

FLEX Options

James Cook, RB, Bills ($6900)

Cook had a big week last week — can he do it again? It’s not a guarantee that he reaches over 150 yards on the ground again, but if the Bills are looking to establish the run, they’re going to put the ball in Cook’s hands.

Stefon Diggs, WR, Bills ($8700)

Diggs, as the Bills’ top receiver, will pay off his dividends here against a Chargers defense that allows the eighth-most fantasy points to opposing wide receivers. Diggs is one of the more expensive options, but he should have a big game on Saturday with this defensive matchup.

Value plays

Gerald Everett, TE, Chargers ($3500)

Everett was sidelined for the last two week, but is back for this matchup against the Bills. He’s a fairly consistent receiver, generally grabbing between four and five receptions for a bit over 40 yards each game. This may change with Stick at QB, but he’s a solid value play.

Quentin Johnston, WR, Chargers ($4000)

Johnston and Stick seemed to click two weeks ago, as the wide receiver finished with a team-high 91 yards. Johnston’s receptions decreased last week, but he scored his first touchdown in five games. Keenan Allen leads the team in receptions, but is sitting out with a heel injury this week, which means that Johnston should see even more action in this matchup.
