The Cincinnati Bengals take on the Pittsburgh Steeles on Saturday, December 23. We take a look at some of our favorite DFS plays for the matchup ahead of kickoff at 4:30 p.m. ET.

Injuries to look out for

Ja’Marr Chase, WR, Bengals - Out
Kenny Pickett, QB, Steelers - Out

NFL DFS Showdown strategy: Bengals vs. Steelers

Captain’s Picks

Joe Mixon, RB, Bengals ($6800)

Mixon has been on fire in the last few weeks, backed up by speedy rookie Chase Brown. Mixon has scored four touchdowns in the last three weeks and is a reliable high scorer on any fantasy lineup. The Steelers’ rushing defense is middling and is 20th in fantasy points allowed to opposing RBs.

Jaylen Warren, RB, Steelers ($5400)

Warren gets consistent action split between the rushing and passing game, and has been a bigger fantasy earner than Najee Harris in the Steelers’ last several games. He is slightly more expensive than Harris, but the investment should pay off.

FLEX Options

Tee Higgins, WR, Bengals ($6500)

With Chase out, Higgins becomes the WR1 for the Bengals, and put together some career-highlight catches last week against the Vikings. Jake Browning will be looking downfield for Higgins this week as his top target.

Najee Harris, RB, Steelers ($5000)

Harris has not been a big fantasy earner in the last few weeks, but he’s consistently the running back with the most carries. The Bengals rushing defense has been fairly average this season, so Harris could see a few breakthrough runs that get him back into the realm of his early-season fantasy numbers.

Value plays

Pat Freiermuth, TE, Steelers ($3800)

Freiermuth was limited in practice this week but is expected to be back on the field in this matchup. While he doesn’t always have a big yardage weeks, Freiermuth has three receptions in each of the last three weeks. He may end up as a top target for Rudolph due to his size and his availability in shorter passing situations.

Tanner Hudson, TE, Bengals ($3600)

Hudson has been a very consistent target this season, and finished last week with five receptions for 49 yards. The Bengals are working him into the receiving rotation on a regular basis, and he has been performing well with Browning at QB.
