NBA DFS value plays $5K or under for Thursday, December 21

We go over some top bargain options $5K or under on DraftKings for Thursday’s main slate.

There are eight games Thursday, but only six are coming in on the main DFS slate. While that does limit options for bargain plays, there are still enough spots to grab a solid value addition to your lineup. Unlike NFL DFS, where one pick can make or break your lineup or it’s tough to find quality low-tier value, NBA DFS differs.

In NBA DFS, you can find quality value plays $5K or under that can give you a quick 10 points off the bench, grab some rebounds, or stuff the stat sheet. We are going to provide you with three players that you need to put in your lineup.

Ochai Agbaji, Jazz, $4,900

Agbaji has gone back and forth between good and bad outings, so that pattern suggests he’s in line for a strong showing Thursday after a dud in Wednesday’s game. He also gets an excellent matchup against the Pistons, who appear lost on the court and have struggled in just about every aspect of the game this season. Look for the Jazz guard to have a strong stat line tonight.

Andre Drummond, Bulls, $4,800

Drummond might not see as much playing time as one would like, but he makes the most of those minutes. The Bulls backup big man should see decent minutes Thursday on the second night of a back-to-back set, especially if this game turns into a blowout. The Spurs, who have been bad this season, rank 27th in fantasy points allowed to opposing centers. The matchup is too favorable to pass up on Drummond at this price point.

Lu Dort, Thunder, $5,000

In the last five games, Dort has just one outing where he went under 20 DKFP. In the last seven games, he’s had four outings over 20 DKFP and two over 30 DKFP. The Thunder wing is up to 22.6 DKFP per game over those seven contests, which is a huge improvement from a stretch of seven games where he went under 15 DKFP in every contest. The Clippers do present a tough matchup, but Dort is in fine form right now. He’s worth rostering.
