The undefeated Georgia Bulldogs take on the Alabama Crimson Tide in the 2023 SEC Championship Game on Saturday. Georgia wide receiver Ladd McConkey, one of the most veteran members of the team, sustained a low ankle sprain in Week 11 against Ole Miss. He played a few snaps before leaving the following week against Tennessee, and sat out entirely against Georgia Tech in Wee 13.
McConkey is a huge asset on the field. He caught two touchdowns and finished with the second-most receiving yards in Georgia’s 2022 national championship game. McConkey was sidelined for several games at the beginning of the season with a back injury.
It is unclear whether McConkey will play against Alabama in today’s game. Updates to come.
