Update, 3:00 p.m. ET: Bowers is looking healthy in warmups ahead of the game. His ankle is not visibly bothering him. He appears ready to play.
Georgia Bulldogs tight end Brock Bowers leads the team in receiving yards for the 2023 season despite missing three games after undergoing ankle surgery partway through the season. With 661 yards and six touchdowns on his resume, the Bulldogs are hoping Bowers will be able to make it out onto the field against the Alabama Crimson Tide for Saturday’s SEC Championship Game.
Bowers has reportedly sustained a lower leg injury related to his earlier ankle surgery. It is unclear whether he will be playing against Alabama in Saturday’s game. Bowers missed last week’s game against Georgia Tech with soreness in his ankle. He was able to go through warmups in uniform ahead of the Week 13 win.
Updates to come as we get them ahead of kickoff.
