The New Orleans Pelicans (11-9) face the Chicago Bulls (6-14) at the United Center on Saturday, December 2. The game will tip off at 8 p.m. ET. The Bulls are coming off a home victory over the Bucks, and the Pelicans most recently defeated the Spurs.
Larry Nance Jr (rib), Matt Ryan (calf), and Jose Alvarado (ankle) are out for the Pelicans, and the Bulls will be missing Zach LaVine (foot). DeMar DeRozan (ankle) is also questionable for Chicago. The Pelicans are likely to rest Zion Williamson on the second night of a back-to-back but we’ll know more when they release an official injury report later in the day.
The Pelicans enter as 3-point favorites at DraftKings Sportsbook, with the total set at 220. New Orleans is -155 on the moneyline while Chicago is +130.
Pelicans vs. Bulls, 8 p.m. ET
Pick ATS: Pelicans -3
The Bulls beat the Bucks without DeRozan and LaVine — their two top scorers for the season who each average 21 or more points per game — but I don’t think lightning will strike twice in the Windy City. The Bulls were on a five-game losing streak ahead of their latest win, and the Pelicans are on a two-game win streak after beating the Sixers at the end of November. I like New Orleans to cover here.
Over/Under: Under 220
The Pelicans are 8-12 on hitting the over this season, and the Bulls are 11-9. However, with the Bulls missing their two highest scorers of the season, I have to take the under here. New Orleans is also 6-1 on the under in their last seven games.
