“King” Ryan Garcia will make his long-awaited return to the ring Saturday, December 2 in a 12-round super lightweight bout against Oscar Duarte (26-1-1, 21 KOs) from the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas. It’s the first fight for Garcia (23-1, 19 KOs), a 25-year-old from Orange County, California, since his knockout loss to Gervonta “Tank” Davis in their April super fight.

Duarte (25-1-1) is a hard puncher from Chihuahua, Mexico who has won in the past 10 fights by knockout or TKO.

DAZN will be handling the broadcast for this fight starting at 8 p.m. ET. The first three fights on the undercard will be available on Golden Boy Boxing’s YouTube channel.

DraftKings Sportsbook has Garcia posted as a -425 favorite while Duarte is a +295 underdog.

Garcia is considered one of the top draws in boxing. He claims to have made around $30 million for the fight against Davis. That fight had a gate of $22.8 million and reported 1.2 million PPV buys making it the second-most successful PPV boxing event in this decade (Mike Tyson vs. Roy Jones exhibition had 1.6 million buys). This fight isn’t on PPV and it’s expected that Garcia will make roughly between $8-10 million depending on the ticket sales.

Duarte’s purse is unknown, but he’s expected to make at least $500,000 and more depending on his percentage of the ticket sales. In Duarte’s first fight with Golden Boy, he made $20,000 and said that purse would help his living situation as he was homeless at the time.
