We’ve got a small five-game slate in the NBA Sunday, but that doesn’t meant there aren’t some great player props for bettors to target to close out the weekend. Here’s a look at some of our favorite plays for the day’s action, with odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook.
Jayson Tatum over 26.5 points vs. Magic (-145)
After scoring exactly 26 points in a 17-point loss to the Magic in the first meeting between the two teams, the Celtics forward dropped 30 in a win over Orlando Friday. The sides meet for a third time Sunday afternoon in Boston, and Tatum should be primed for another big scoring outing. He’s averaging 27.8 points per game over the last five, and is averaging 26.4 points per game at home this season. Look for him to clear this line today.
CJ McCollum over 5.5 assists vs. Spurs (-140)
The Pelicans guard is usually around this mark, hitting the over on this line in three of the last six games. The main reason to take the over here is the matchup. The Spurs are one of the worst defensive teams in the league, ranking 27th in opponent assists allowed per game. That should help McCollum find his teammates with ease Sunday.
Giannis Antetokounmpo over 48.5 points + rebounds + assists vs. Rockets (-160)
There’s not as much value on this prop as we’d like, but that’s largely because the Greek Freak could clear this line on points alone. Antetokounmpo has been on fire lately, dropping an average of 53.1 PRA in his last nine games before sitting out a good portion of Saturday’s blowout win over the Pistons. While the Rockets aren’t exactly a benchmark opponent for the Bucks, they are on a winning streak and look like a playoff contender. Milwaukee will want to make a statement here, and that starts with Antetokounmpo having a big game.
Devin Booker over 2.5 3-pointers vs. Wizards (+150)
Booker has been in a bit coy from shooting the triple lately, putting up just 28 shots from deep over the last six games. In two of those games, he took two triples or less. This is not the game for him to hold back. The Wizards are a league-average side defending the three-point line, and Booker’s percentage (42.9%) is excellent even if his volume hasn’t been there of late. Look for him to be more aggressive Sunday and clear this line.
Klay Thompson over 4.5 rebounds vs. Trail Blazers (+110)
The Warriors are on the second night of a back-to-back set, so make sure Thompson is suiting up before locking in this prop. The shooting guard has been underwhelming when it comes to scoring, but he’s made up for it with an aggressive approach on the glass. Thompson is averaging 5.1 rebounds per game over this last eight, and has gone over this line six times in that stretch. The Trail Blazers rank 25th in opponent rebounds allowed, so the matchup is favorable enough for Thompson to snag five boards.
