The Houston Texans needed overtime to beat the Tennessee Titans in Week 15 of the 2023 NFL season. Houston was missing quarterback C.J. Stroud and wide receiver Nico Collins, but Case Keenum helped get them in field goal range so that kicker Ka’imi Fairbairn could seal the game with a 54-yard kick as time expired in overtime.

The Texans move to 8-6 on the season and are tied with the Indianapolis Colts in the AFC South. They currently lose the head-to-head tiebreaker but will meet again in Week 18. There is still plenty of action to come in Week 15, but Houston sits at the No. 8 seed in the AFC playoff picture.

The loss was a big one for the Titans. They move to 5-9 on the season and have not only been eliminated from the AFC South division race but have been eliminated from playoff contention overall. They will be playing for pride and the development of their young players the rest of the way.
