The New Orleans Saints defeated the New York Giants, 24-6, in Week 15. With the win, the Saints move to 7-7. The Buccaneers won and the Falcons lost on Sunday, which places the Saints in second place in the NFC South behind the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Saints will face the Bucs on New Year's Eve.

As things currently stand, the Saints have an NFC Wild Card spot. The Vikings also sit at 7-7, and the Rams sit at 6-7. The Rams face the Commanders on Sunday afternoon. The Seahawks sit at 6-7 ahead of a Monday night matchup against the Eagles. The Saints will get bumped out of the current top seven NFC spots with either a Rams or a Seahawks win this week.

The race in the NFC remains tight. Outside the Buccaneers, the Saints have yet to play the Rams and the Falcons. The Giants moved to 5-9 with the loss and are far from Wild Card contention at this point, barring chaos among the .500 teams.
