Cuban knockout artist David Morrell (9-0, 8 KOs) defends his WBA super middleweight title for a sixth time this Saturday, December 16 against challenger Sena Agbeko (28-2, 22 KOs). The bout is scheduled for 12 and will take place at the Armory in Minneapolis. Showtime will handle coverage of Morrell-Agbeko beginning at 9 p.m. ET.

Morrell is a southpaw power puncher who won the WBA belt with an unanimous decision win over Lennox Allen on August 8, 2020. Since then, the 25-year-old has won six in a row all by way of knockout. His most recent victory came on April 22, a quick first-round KO of Brazilian veteran Yamaguchi Falcão. Morrell now eyes yet another successful title defense at 168 pounds.

Agbeko fights out of Tennessee by way of Accra, Ghana and was originally set to clash with Morrell back in April on the Tank Davis-Ryan Garcia card. However, the 31-year-old was not sanctioned to fight in the state of Nevada. Like the champion, he’s not afraid to let his hands go and enters this bout with four straight KO wins. Agbeko recently defeated Bruno Romay with a second-round KO in October.

The undercard features a rematch between two welterweight titans coming out of retirement. Former two-weight champion Robert Guerrero (37-6-1, 20 KOs) takes on previous two-time welterweight champ Andre Berto (32-5, 24 KOs). The last time these two met was on November 24, 2012, as Guerrero prevailed with an unanimous decision win.

Berto last fought in August 2018, defeating Devon Alexander by split decision. Guerrero outlasted Victor Ortiz back in April 2021. This is sure to be a classic old school bout. Guerrero is a -120 betting favorite to win, per Draftkings Sportsbook. Berto carries +160 underdog odds.

In the main event, Morrell is a -2500 betting favorite, while Agbeko enters with +1000 underdog odds. The favored method of victory is a Morrell knockout (-425).
