Before the WBA super middleweight title fight between David Morrell and Sena Agbeko takes place on Saturday, December 16, boxing fans get a rematch between two welterweight greats. Former two-weight titleholder Robert Guerrero (37-6-1, 20 KOs) squares off against previous two-time welterweight champion Andre Berto (32-5, 24 KOs).

Fighter history

Guerrero, 40, has been the more active fighter amongst the two as he defeated Victor Ortiz back in April 2021. His career started back in 2001 and over the course of his career he has won the IBF featherweight, IBF junior lightweight, WBC interim welterweight, and WBA welterweight title. The southpaw out of California is out to prove he still has some in the tank.

Berto last fought in August 2018, defeating Devon Alexander by split decision. His career accolades include stints as the WBA and WBC welterweight champion. He looks to revenge a loss from over eleven years ago. The last time these two met was on November 24, 2012, as Guerrero prevailed with an unanimous decision win.

Guerrero is a -120 betting favorite to win, per Draftkings Sportsbook. Berto carries +160 underdog odds. The favored method of victory is a Guerrero decision (+150).
