The Seahawks looked primed to make the playoffs — and even compete for the NFC West division title — after Week 10 of the regular season. Now heading into Week 15, things are looking iffy. The Seahawks have lost four games in a row (three to division rivals) and find themselves at 6-7 in the NFC standings. Seattle still has a shot at the playoffs but are in 9th place in the conference and need a lot of help to get in. Let’s go over which teams Seahawks fans should be rooting for in Week 15.
Bengals vs. Vikings
Result: The Vikings lost in overtime to the Bengals after blowing a 17-3 lead. The Vikings are now only a half game up on the Seahawks in the wild card race.
The Bengals and Vikings face each other on Saturday afternoon. So Seahawks fans will want to tune in early this weekend. The Vikings are 7-6 after a 3-0 win over the Raiders in Week 14. Minnesota still has major question marks at QB and WR Justin Jefferson remains banged up. But the Vikings are in 6th place and control their own destiny at this point. A loss by Minnesota would help the Seahawks out if the losing streak is extended to five games on MNF vs. the Eagles. The Bengals are a slight favorite at -3 on the spread on DraftKings Sportsbook.
Commanders vs. Rams
Result: The Rams beat the Commanders 28-20 to go 7-7. The Seahawks really need to upset the Eagles on Monday night to keep themselves firmly in the playoff race.
The Rams are in 8th place at 6-7 and hold the tiebreaker over the Seahawks. Los Angeles has defeated Seattle in both division games this season. So the Seahawks really need the Rams to falter down the stretch. It may be a lot to ask. Los Angeles is starting to get healthy on offense, which is scary. The Rams also have three winnable games coming up against Washington, the New York Giants and New Orleans Saints. After that, it’s a last week matchup vs. the 49ers, which could have seeding implications. Seattle not only needs a Commanders’ upset but more help. The Rams are 6.5-point favorites on DraftKings Sportsbook.
Bucs vs. Packers
Result: The Bucs defeated the Packers 34-20 to move to 7-7 on the season. The Packers drop to 6-8 and Seattle is in position to jump them in the standings.
The team in the final playoff seed in the NFC entering Week 15 are the Packers, who are coming off a tough 24-22 loss to the Giants on MNF in Week 14. The Packers own the tiebreak over the Rams and are ahead of Seattle based on division record. Tampa Bay is fighting for first place in the NFC South, so this should be a competitive matchup. The Packers also can’t stay healthy with more injuries piling up. Green Bay is a slight 3.5-point favorite on DraftKings Sportsbook.
