Alexandre Pantoja vs. Brandon Royval odds: Tale of the tape for UFC 296 flyweight title bout

Alexandre Pantoja and Brandon Royval fight at flyweight on the main card of UFC 296 on Saturday, December 16. We break down the odds.

MMA: UFC 290 - Moreno vs Pantoja Stephen R. Sylvanie-USA TODAY Sports

UFC 296 is set to take place on Saturday, December 16, live from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. Alexandre Pantoja and Brandon Royval will co-main a five-bout main card. The other co-main is a welterweight title bout between Leon Edwards and Colby Covington.

Pantoja (26-5) will defend his title for the first time since defeating Brandon Moreno in July via split decision. He is 4-1 in his last five bouts. He was fortunate to win a title in his first opportunity, so winning in defense will be challenging. He started his UFC career in 2017 and started to shoot up the ranks at a moderate pace.

Royval (15-6) will have the first title opportunity of his career of his UFC career this weekend. He is 4-2 in his UFC career but has won three in a row. Saturday will mark the second time these two have been in the octagon together, with Pantoja having won the first matchup via second-round submission. Winning this time around would be a lot more sweet for Royval since it is for the title.

Here are the betting odds at DraftKings Sportsbook for Pantoja vs. Royval at UFC 296 on December 16th.
