Ever watch a bowl game and wonder “who is that sponsor?” We’ll save you a click and put all the sponsors in one place.

If you buy something from an SB Nation link, Vox Media may earn a commission. See our ethics statement.

NCAA Football: Duke’s Mayo Bowl-Maryland at North Carolina State Bob Donnan-USA TODAY Sports

College football bowl season is upon us and that means it’s time to familiarize yourselves with some wacky bowl sponsors. Some games are sponsored by mainstream brands that are staples of our everyday lives while others will have you asking “what the heck is that?”

Below, we’ll run through every title sponsor for each bowl game over the next few weeks.

December 16

Myrtle Beach Bowl

Pretty self explanatory. This game is pretty much an infomercial for the Myrtle Beach, SC, tourism industry.

Cricket Celebration Bowl

The annual HBCU clash between the MEAC and SWAC is sponsored by Cricket Wireless, a phone service provider owned by AT&T.

R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl

R+L Carriers is a freight shipping company and you’ve definitely seen some of their trucks while driving on the interstate. They’ve been sponsoring the New Orleans Bowl since 2006.

Avocados From Mexico Cure Bowl

The Orlando-based Cure Bowl has already run through a gauntlet of sponsors since debuting in 2015 and this year Avocados From Mexico has taken over. You’ve probably gotten the jingle stuck in your head while watching some college football games this season.

Isleta New Mexico Bowl

Isleta is a resort and casino based in Albuquerque, and this is the first year its sponsoring the bowl.

LA Bowl Hosted By...Gronk!

This is the third year of the LA Bowl’s existence and this year’s game will be legendary tight end Rob Gronkowski. Gronk takes the reigns from late-night host Jimmy Kimmel, who hosted the bowl the previous two years.

Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl

The Independence Bowl in Shreveport, LA, probably takes the cake for having the most random bowl sponsors and since 2020, Radiance Technologies has been on the marquee. According to their website, Radiance Technologies is a “100% employee-owned small business prime contractor.” Whatever that means. It’s a huge word salad.

December 18

Famous Toastery Bowl

Hey, a brand new bowl! Well, technically a repackaged bowl. The Bahamas Bowl isn’t being played this year due to Thomas Robinson Stadium being renovated, so they moved it to the Charlotte 49ers campus this year. Famous Toastery is an all-day breakfast chain based in the Carolinas.

December 19

Scooter’s Coffee Frisco Bowl

Scooter’s Coffee is a coffee chain based in Omaha and it’s sponsoring a bowl game in... Frisco, TX? Ok!

December 21

Roofclaim.com Boca Raton Bowl

As you can guess, Roofclaim is a national roofing company and has been sponsoring the Boca Bowl since 2020.

December 22

Union Home Mortgage Gasparilla Bowl

Ok, let’s explain the second part of this Tampa-based bowl first. Gasparilla is a parade/festival held in Tampa during the last Saturday of January every year. Long story short, just think of Mardi Gras but with a pirate theme and boats.

Union Home Mortgage? Less fun as it’s just a home mortgage company.

December 23

Camellia Bowl

The Camellia Bowl is held in Montgomery and is named after the state flower of Alabama. This is the second straight year where it doesn’t have an official sponsor.

76 Birmingham Bowl

The Birmingham Bowl has had several sponsors throughout its history, including PapaJohns.com and BBVA Compass. This year’s game is repped by 76, the gas station chain.

Lockheed Martin Armed Forces Bowl

If you thought military defense contractors weren’t getting in on the bowl business, YOU WERE MISTAKEN. Lockheed Martin has been backing the Armed Forces Bowl in Fort Worth since 2014.

Famous Idaho Potato Bowl

This Boise-based bowl has had several sponsors over the years and in 2011, the Idaho Potato Commission began sponsoring it. Simple way to advertise one of the state of Idaho’s biggest exports. The winning head coach usually has a bucket of french fries dumped on his head.

68 Ventures Bowl

This Mobile-based bowl has several title sponsors and the real ones out there remember when this used to be randomly played the night before the BCS title game. The name 68 Ventures sounds really cool, but it’s just a real estate company based in the Gulf Coast.

SRS Distribution Las Vegas Bowl

The Las Vegas Bowl has had several sponsors throughout the years and since moving to Allegiant Stadium in 2021, it’s been sponsored by SRS Distribution, another roofing company getting into the bowl business.

EasyPost Hawai’i Bowl

The Hawai’i Bowl is traditional held on Christmas Eve, but will be held a day early due to December 24 falling on a Sunday and we can’t dare to go up against the NFL Industrial Complex. Anyway, EasyPost is a discount shipping company.

December 26

Quick Lane Bowl

The bowl is held at Ford Field in Detroit and Quick Lane is a tire and auto chain headquartered in nearby Dearborn, MI.

Servpro First Responder Bowl

Held at SMU’s stadium in Dallas, the bowl is sponsored by Servpro, a water and fire cleanup service.

Guaranteed Rate Bowl

Some might remember this Arizona-based game as the old Insight Bowl and it’s had several sponsors over the decades. Guaranteed Rate is a home mortgage company.

Military Bowl presented by GoBowling.com

The second armed forces related bowl based at Navy’s stadium in Annapolis, MD. GoBowling.com is just ... a general website promoting bowling? Alrighty then!

December 27

Duke’s Mayo Bowl

The most memed bowl game over the past few years, this bowl game in Charlotte is sponsored by the Carolina’s based Duke Mayonnaise. The broadcast on ESPN is a disgusting informercial for the brand, and it has become tradition for the winning head coach to get a big ol’ bucket of mayo dumped on his head.

DirecTV Holiday Bowl

The Holiday Bowl has been a December staple in San Diego for nearly a half century and this is the first year that the mega cable company will sponsor it.

TaxAct Texas Bowl

Deep in the heart of Texas is the Houston-based Texas Bowl and nothing screams Texas more than an online tax filing service. Yee-haw!

December 28

Wasabi Fenway Bowl

Introduced last year, this game is held at Fenway Park in Boston. And no, it’s unfortunately not sponsored by the spicy, green Japanese horseradish that is served with sushi. This Wasabi is an online storage provider based out of Boston.

Bad Boy Mowers Pinstripe Bowl

Yankee Stadium in the Bronx has been hosting college football games for a century, and the Pinstripe Bowl has been going since 2010. Bad Boy Mowers is a sweet lawnmower company that also sells tractors, power tools, and even ATV’s.

Pop-Tarts Bowl

This Orlando-based bowl has had several sponsors over the years, from Blockbuster to Champs Sports to most recently Kellogg’s. The delicious pastry brand is the sponsor of this year’s bowl and it was just announced that the game will have an edible mascot that the WINNING TEAM WILL EAT AFTER THE GAME. That’s metal as hell.

Valero Alamo Bowl

San Antonio, so as is tradition; Football, The Alamo, The Riverwalk, and petroleum companies. Maybe Victor Wembanyama will make a cameo appearance in the Alamodome.

December 29

TaxSlayer Gator Bowl

Head on down to Jacksonville for this bowl game and get your taxes done by this online tax filing service. DUUUUUUVVVVVAAAALLLL.

Tony the Tiger Sun Bowl

The Sun Bowl is one of the oldest bowl games in all of college football, and this El Paso tradition has had a rich history of players being visibly hungover after partying over the border in Juarez throughout the years. Tony the Tiger, not Frosted Flakes, just Tony the Tiger, has sponsored this bowl since 2019.

AutoZone Liberty Bowl

AutoZone Jingle: “Get in the Zone, Memphis booowlll!”

Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic

We’ve finally reached the New Year’s Six, and the first one up this year is the Cotton Bowl at Jerry World in Arlington, TX. The famous tire company has been sponsoring this bowl game since 2014.

December 30

Chik-Fil-A Peach Bowl

The second of the New Year’s Six this year will be the Peach Bowl in Atlanta, with long-time sponsor Chik-Fil-A.

Transperfect Music City Bowl

The Music City Bowl has been a Nashville staple since 1998 and is sponsored by TransPerfect. What’s TransPerfect you may ask? It’s a translation and language services company.

Capital One Orange Bowl

The third New Year’s Six bowl this year will be the annual Orange Bowl in Miami. Brands like FedEx and Discover have sponsored the game over the years, and Capital One has been the primary sponsor since 2014. Interesting considering that the Capital One Bowl overtook the Citrus Bowl name in Orlando for several years, so at least they let it still be the Orange Bowl.

Barstool Sports Arizona Bowl

Yeah. Moving on.

January 1

ReliaQuest Bowl

Coming live from Tampa on New Year’s Day is the Outba... sorry, Reliaquest Bowl, sponsored by the cybersecurity company. C’mon man, this should still be the Outback Bowl! This was the Hall of Fame Bowl before it became the first to completely sell itself out with a full corporate naming structure, and the guy that used to be in charge was pulling down seven figures a year for one game a year. Give us back the Bloomin’ Onion and Coconut Shrimp mascots you cowards, or at least the CEO job here!

Cheez-It Citrus Bowl

Another Orlando bowl game sponsored by a famous snack brand. For those wondering, this isn’t the Cheez-It Bowl. The Cheez-It Bowl became the aforementioned Pop Tarts Bowl. Cheez-It’s only sponsors the Citrus Bowl now. Got it?

VRBO Fiesta Bowl

The fourth of the New Year’s Six games, the Fiesta Bowl has had some interesting sponsors from Sunkist, to Playstation, to even BattleFrog for one year. But it will always be the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl to me.

Rose Bowl Game presented by Prudential

We’ve now reached the College Football Playoff and the first semifinal game will take place at the Grandaddy of Them All. College football’s oldest bowl game has had a number of sponsors over the years, and the Prudential insurance company became the presenting sponsor this year. Remember: Presenting sponsor, because the “Rose Bowl Game” is just an offshoot of what really matters to the residents of Pasadena, the Tournament of Roses Parade. They will never allow a full title sponsor.

Allstate Sugar Bowl

The second playoff semifinal game will take place at the Sugar Bowl in New Orleans. The famous car insurance company has been the primary sponsor of the bowl since 2007.

January 8

College Football Playoff National Championship Presented by AT&T

We wrap this bowl season up with the national championship game coming live from Houston. AT&T is the sponsor for the game.
