The Los Angeles Clippers have ruled Paul George out for the rest of Tuesday’s game against the Sacramento Kings due to groin soreness. George was not exactly having his best performance, but this injury is unlikely to impact Los Angeles in this game as the Clippers hold a sizable lead over the Kings.

George finishes the game with nine points, six rebounds and one assist. Norman Powell started the second half in his place, and is likely to see more playing time going forward if George is out for multiple games.
It’s the second night of a back-to-back set for both teams, but nobody decided to rest any key players. The Clippers have not rested George or Kawhi Leonard on any back-to-back sets this season, and both players are in a key season for their futures. George and Leonard could opt out of their deals and become free agents, potentially breaking up their partnership after many failed playoff runs. We’ll see how long George is out for with this latest setback.
