Week 14 saw several key injuries affect fantasy football outcomes. Geno Smith showed up on the injury report late in the week, Justin Herbert broke a finger, Justin Jefferson’s much-awaited return was cut short by a chest injury that sent him to the hospital, and Josh Jacobs suffered a knee injury.
If your fantasy roster took a hit with injuries or underperformed overall in Week 14, here are some options that may be available to add from the waiver wire for the week ahead.
Week 15 Fantasy football waiver wire pickups
Jake Browning, QB, Cincinnati Bengals
It looked like the Bengals season was over when Joe Burrow was injured and it was announced that he would be out for the remainder of the season. Jake Browning isn’t about to let that happen. Burrow’s backup is now 2-1 as a starter and grabbed wins over the Jaguars and Colts in the last two weeks. He has passed for four TDs and rushed for two as a starter, and passed the 300-yard mark against the Jags. If you’re in a 2-QB league or have been hit with one or more of the many QB injuries this season, Browning is a solid choice going forward. The Bengals take on the Vikings in Week 15,
Romeo Doubs, WR, Green Bay Packers
The Packers’ passing offense has completely transformed in the last several weeks, and Doubs is a big part of that. Christian Watson is dealing with a hamstring injury, and Doubs should be seeing some of those targets head his way, alongside Jayden Reed. He has the second-most receiving yards on the Packers this season, and has the most receiving touchdowns on the team. The Packers face the Buccaneers next week.
Curtis Samuel, WR, Washington Commanders
Samuel has been the Commanders’ leading receiver in their last two games. He has seen a major uptick in targets as of late, and he’s taking advantage of the opportunity. He added up 13 receptions for 165 yards over the Commanders’ last two weeks, including 100 receiving yards against the Cowboys. If this trend continues, Samuel is sure to be a consistently solid earner on a fantasy roster. The Commanders face the Rams in Week 14.
Isaiah Likely, TE, Baltimore Ravens
Likely hasn’t seen much action in the Ravens’ passing schemes for most of the season, but the tight end has seen a major increase in targets and yardage over the last two weeks. In Week 12, he caught four receptions for 40 yards, and in Week 13, he had five receptions for 83 yards and a touchdown. It appears that he’s becoming a more common target for Lamar Jackson and could become a much more significant piece in fantasy. The Ravens take on the Jaguars in Week 14.
