Things could have been worse for last week’s value play in Brevin Jordan, who was likely chalky again. The Houston Texans’ offense laid an egg and it was widely due to bad weather in New Jersey. Luckily, we found a ton of success with Evan Engram and Isaiah Likely as value plays in the Week 14 writeup. So we’ll try and run it back in Week 15 with some good values on the main Sunday slate on DraftKings.
NFL DFS Picks, Week 15: TE value plays
Jake Ferguson, DAL vs. BUF, $4,800
This price feels way off, sort of how they priced Likely last week with Mark Andrews still out. The Buffalo Bills are a tough matchup on paper but both teams are motivated. The Cowboys have arguably been the best team in the NFL this season. If we look at PPR scoring for season-long, Ferguson has been a top-10 TE. It isn’t like Ferguson has played poorly the past two games; he’s got 11 catches on 16 targets for 151 yards and a TD in that span. This is Ferguson’s highest price point all season and it seems low. He could be chalky but has a very safe floor in a Cowboys-Bills game that features the highest over/under on DraftKings Sportsbook for Week 15.
Davis Allen, LAR vs. WAS, $3,300
This play hinges on whether or not Tyler Higbee can return to the lineup. If Higbee ($3,600) is able to play, he should be the TE option we go with here. But Allen played 55 snaps last week vs. the Ravens and finished with four catches on five targets for 50 yards and a touchdown. Outside of Cowboys-Bills, this Rams-Commanders matchup is the best fantasy environment for points with an over/under at 49. There’s a good chance QB Matthew Stafford throws the ball around 35-40 times. A Rams’ tight end, whether its Higbee or Allen, should return some good value.
Chig Okonkwo, TEN vs. HOU, $2,900
The Titans are technically still alive in the playoff hunt, and this could be their last stand in Week 15 vs. the Texans. If nothing else, they don’t want to see a division rival make the playoffs. Okonkwo has quietly been very good in fantasy the past three weeks. He has at least five targets and 8.5 fantasy points on DK in each game. At this price, he’s returning close to 3x value. In a perfect world, Okonkwo reaches a ceiling of around 4-5 catches for 50-60 yards and a TD. He’s playing enough snaps and this game could be sneaky high scoring.
