Manchester United and Bayern Munich meet in the final group stage match of the 2023-24 Champions League, with the Bundesliga side having already qualified for the knockout round. Man United do have a path to qualification but they will need a win along with a draw in the Copenhagen-Galatasaray match to do so. Any other combination of results means Man United are eliminated. Kickoff from Old Trafford in Manchester is set for 3 p.m. ET.

These two sides had a wild opener in the group stage, with Bayern Munich capturing a 4-3 win thanks to a goal in stoppage time from Mathys Tel. Bayern don’t have any pressure in this match as they’ve already secured the top spot in the group but they’re still likely to play a decent XI. Serge Gnabry is out for Bayern Munich.
Man United will hope to have Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial in. Both are dealing with an illness, but should suit up. The EPL side will be without Casemiro, Christian Eriksen and Lisandro Martinez. Victor Lindelof and Mason Mount are considered questionable, while Bruno Fernandes and Raphael Varane should be available.
Bayern are in a bit of a rut, coming off a 5-1 loss to Eintracht Frankfurt Saturday. They drew in their last Champions League match to Copenhagen, so they’ll want to put on a better performance here. Man United are coming off a bad loss Saturday as well, dropping a 3-0 result to Bournemouth. They are desperate to get a win to keep the chance at qualification alive, but they’re going to be tested. I like these sides to draw Tuesday.
